How messy is your office? Is it messy enough to be worth a $10,000 prize?
That's the question MyFax, an Internet fax service, is asking office workers across North America. Rather than chastising people with messy offices or trying to change their ways, MyFax is actually celebrating the clutter with its MyFax Messy Office Contest.
To enter, contestants merely need to take a photo or video of their FEMA-level disaster area office and upload it to the MyFax contest site by February 25, 2008. A hand-picked team of organization-challenged experts will select the finalists, and then the world at large will be able to vote on their favorites. The winner will be announced on March 3, 2008 to great fanfare.
The top prize is $10,000, so you know they're taking the search for the messiest office very seriously. MyFax will also be awarding additional prizes to the other finalists.
In addition to entering the contest, you can take a 10-question quiz on the MyFax Web site to see what kind of messy office type you are. Answer multiple-choice questions like "What is on the walls of your office?" and, "If you could have something invented just for you and your office, what would it most likely be," (one possible answer: "A time traveling device so you could go back into the past and get parts for things you still like but can't use anymore because they stopped making them.") and see a detailed description of your office type. Your type might be Whirlwind, Commitment Phobe, The Scientist, Multiple Personality, Paper Chaser or Conspiracy Theorist, or The Collector.
