Now, with an office in the middle of Main Street Napa Valley, Moss Adams will strengthen its ties to one of the most significant wine and agricultural communities in the world. The merger will provide Rabanal & Smith's clients with a broader set of resources and relationships important to their business success.
Partners Jennifer Rabanal and Amy Smith have more than thirty-three years of combined experience serving the wine industry. Rabanal & Smith, which has provided accounting, tax, and business advisory services to the wine industry and Napa business community for more than nine years, was founded in response to the industry's increased need for compliance services, such as audits, reviews, and tax preparation performed by independent, knowledgeable professionals.
"We're extremely pleased to deepen our commitment to the Napa community and count the talented team at Rabanal & Smith among our accounting and business consulting professionals in the area," said Jeff Gutsch, partner and wine industry group leader at Moss Adams. "Jennifer and Amy's skills, passions, and deep credibility in the local wine industry make them the best partners we could have in this new venture."
Rabanal, Smith, and the rest of Rabanal & Smith's employees will join Moss Adams, and the firm will add several more professionals to the Napa office in the coming months. In addition to a strong emphasis on the wine industry, the office will focus on clients in the hospitality, manufacturing, food, and agriculture industries.
"We remain fully committed to our wonderful clients and the wine industry as a whole in the Napa Valley," said Smith. "By joining forces with Moss Adams, we are increasing our professional network and expanding the level of services, capabilities, and expertise available to our clients. Moss Adams has built a reputation that is second to none, and Jennifer and I are excited to see where this chapter of our careers takes us."
The Moss Adams Wine Industry Group works with more than 200 wineries and vineyards in wine regions throughout California, Oregon, and Washington.
The joining of firms will go into effect August 1, 2012.
