The IRS has announced its 2008 changes to the tax rates,
exemption amounts, standard deductions, as well as increases in
the Hope credit, savers credit, and IRA income thresholds. In
addition, there are new pension plan limitations. This is all
good news, of course, because change is one of the things that
keeps tax clients returning, year after year, so be sure to
read up on all of this because there will be a quiz on Monday.
And speaking of quizzes, don't forget to try your luck on
AccountingWEB's new weekly quiz - you could win a nice new
t-shirt - something to keep handy in case you can't get home
for a change of clothes during tax season.
