
In trying to understand how to build business relationships, we should draw upon what we already know from relationships in our personal lives. People often don't do this. It sometimes seems as if, when they come to work, people leave behind everything they have learned about interacting effectively with others.

The Internal Revenue Service wants to remind everyone of the impending October 15 deadline for extended tax returns. This is the first year of October 15 being the date for automatically extended federal returns. E-filing is still a viable option for extended returns. A record 58 percent of the 135.3 million returns received by the IRS so far this year have been filed electronically.

It's October and that can only mean one thing: corn mazes! I
have to admit, the only time in my life I can recall having a
really nasty claustrophobic reaction was once when I couldn't
find my way out of a corn maze. The enchanted maze in Harry
Potter IV had nothing on the Harvest Wonder Corn Maze of 1993.
But seriously, we all know that this October is significant as
the first year that the automatic extension switched from four
to six-months, making this just like another tax season for
accountants who thought they were going to get some sleep this
month, and also it appears that October is International
Starman Month, so there you go....
