COLLEGE TIP: MORE THAN JUST COLLEGE |
Postsecondary education is not exclusively defined as a four-year
residential college. In fact, some students may do better in
other environments, such as community colleges, specialized
schools or comprehensive universities. Distance from home is also
a factor to consider. Going away to college in a different part
of the country or another part of the world may sound glamorous,
but the reality is the college student will be far from home and
in an unfamiliar environment. Before making that choice, be sure
it is what your child and you want.
