BACK-UP TIP: DON'T FORGET THE POWER |
There are several things to consider before purchasing a back-up
power supply. You need to know how much power your computer(s)
use and how long you want them to run on using back-up power.
Back-power supplies have limited capacity so you may also want
to think about what applications and computer systems you can do
without. Some back-up power supplies, such as laptop batteries
and some uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices, store power,
usually from the existing electrical system or a building or
vehicle, during use. Others, such as generators, may require fuel
to operate.
