WINDOWS XP TIP: SPRING CLEANING
|
Spring cleaning isn't just for the home. In the office, spring
cleaning can be an excellent excuse for cleaning up your computer
hard-drive. If your operating system is Windows XP, the Windows
Installer Clean Up Utility, available in Windows XP SP2 Support
Tools from Microsoft's Download Center, can help.
After downloading and installing the support tools, Select Run
from the Start menu. Type msicuu.exe in the Open box and click OK
to display a list of applications with uninstall data. Select
those to get rid of and click the Remove button. Use caution,
install data should only be removed when you are absolutely sure
you won't ever need it.
