COMMUNICATION TIP: DON'T HIDE BEHIND E-MAIL

When people are busy, tempers get frayed. Throw in sensitive subjects, like finances or taxes, and even the simplest comments or questions can create an emotional storm. E-mail is an important communication tool, but when emotions are raised, it can also be a cop-out. Conflicts, even little ones, should be resolved face-to-face or at least over the phone. Bad news, like needing to pay more in taxes, should also be done in person.
