Ian Vacin Joins Xero as Vice President of Marketing for US Operations

Ian Vacin has joined Xero as Vice President of Marketing for US operations. Vacin has over fifteen years of experience creating, marketing, and supporting software solutions, working as an engineer, architect, product manager, designer, and marketer. Close to nine of those years were spent at Intuit where, most recently, he led the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program.

"Not since taking my first job in technology (optimizing production lines in semiconductor factories), have I been this excited about starting a new role," said Vacin. "There are only a few times when you get the opportunity to make a significant impact (in a positive way) on small businesses and their advisors. Xero is leading that change and I wanted to be a part of that."

Vacin received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California, Berkeley; a Master of General Management from Indian School of Business; a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University, McCormick School of Engineering; and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
