CAMICO moving headquarters to San Mateo
CAMICO, a CPA-focused program of professional and employment practices liability insurance for the accounting profession, recently announced it will move its headquarters from Redwood City to San Mateo, California, effective Monday, Dec. 20, 2010.
The address of the new CAMICO headquarters is 1800 Gateway Drive, Suite 300, San Mateo, CA 94404-4072, and CAMICO's main phone number will change to (650) 378-6874.
On Friday, Dec. 17, CAMICO can be contacted by phone only until 3:00 p.m. PST. The e-mail and Web site systems will be switched over to new servers, and e-mail and Web-based services will be unavailable on that day. All services are expected to resume on Monday, Dec. 20.
The new headquarters is located approximately six miles south of the San Francisco International Airport at the confluence of the US-101 and CA-92 Highways.
"Our policyholders and business partners will appreciate our proximity to San Francisco airport and major highways when they travel to meet with us," said CAMICO CEO Ric Rosario, CPA, CFE.
Rosario also noted that the new space will "give our team a very comfortable, efficient work environment in a convenient location." The facility has extensive information technology infrastructure, is close to a CalTrain station as well as shopping and dining, and includes a number of amenities.
Three of CAMICO's allied organizations will also establish their headquarters at 1800 Gateway Drive on the weekend of Dec. 17: the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, one of the largest accounting societies in the nation and a CAMICO sponsor; the CalCPA Education Foundation, which provides ongoing professional training for CPAs in California; and the CalCPA Group Insurance Trust, which provides group health coverage for CalCPA members.

Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
