Senate prepares to vote on 1099 repeal

The U.S. Senate may use a procedural maneuver this week to repeal the health-care law’s provision that would have required businesses to file a 1099 tax form for purchases over $600.

IRS announces another new filing deadline

The IRS has announced a new filing deadline for Form 8939, Basis for Property Acquired from a Decedent. Formerly due April 18, the new filing date has not been announced.
