Growth of CPA financial planning practices is subject of new AICPA study

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Moss Adams LLP have published jointly a wide-ranging analysis of personal financial planning and investment advisory practices, drawing on information provided by 431 CPA firms using various business models for their financial planning practices. The solo practitioner model (37 percent of respondents) was the most commonly reported, as it is the most commonly observed model among CPA firms, according to the study.

Beard Miller Company opens Clark, NJ location

Beard Miller Company LLP (bmc) will open a third New Jersey location in Clark, NJ. The Clark office will be operational effective April 28, 2008. The new office location is located between its Pine Brook and Jackson offices and will house about 25 people upon opening, with additional space for future growth. The firm made the decision to open the Clark office based on its continued growth in New Jersey. This prominent location adjacent to the Garden State Parkway will improve visibility and access to clients in the market.
