Ray is responsible for Avalara’s strategic relationships with the accounting community. He has over twenty-five years of management and organizational experience in technology and software organizations. His experience and expertise include positions in senior management, strategy, sales, and compliance with content and mid-market technology companies. Ray spent fifteen years at CCH and CT Corporate, subsidiaries of Wolters Kluwer.
Aaron Brady
Senior Product Development Manager, Intuit
Aaron Brady is a senior product manager in the Accountant Advisory Group at Intuit. In his nearly twelve years with the company, Aaron has worked to drive the creation of new products and services that accountants can use to better serve their clients. Previously at Intuit, he worked as a tax development manager and a tax development technical lead and analyst on the Lacerte product, where he led a team of tax experts in improving products and innovations for accountants. Prior to Intuit, Aaron served in additional tax software development roles as well as an international tax accountant for both KPMG and Ernst & Young. He has a Master of Accountancy in Tax from Brigham Young University – Marriott School of Management.
Paul H. Burton, JD

Jason Deshayes, CPA
Shareholder, Butler and Company CPAs
Jason has been serving clients since 2003, providing tax, accounting, and consulting advice to individuals and closely held businesses, with a focus on professional services, medical practices, individual taxation, and business start-ups. Jason also consults on other financial matters, including improving business and personal cash flow, business organization, and succession planning. He speaks at national conferences on a range of topics, such as private practice management, CPA firm top issues, and practice development, and he facilitates Trusted Business Advisor classes for the AICPA.
Jason is a board member of the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico, a finance committee member for the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and a member of the Executive Committee for the Private Company Practice Section of the AICPA. He has served as president of the Active 20-30 Club of Albuquerque and Active 20-30 Club US and Canada in the past. In 2011, Jason was honored as one of New Mexico's "40 under 40" by the New Mexico Business Weekly.
Lee Eisenstaedt, MBA
Partner, L. Harris Partners
Lee brings thirty-five years of finance and operations experience to the clients of L. Harris Partners. He helps leaders increase the value of their firms and companies by helping them see their situations in fresh and more revealing ways, identify opportunities they didn’t realize they had, and develop and implement practical action plans and measurement systems that increase accountability.
Lee developed a proprietary set of tools and processes called VitalSigns VOC® that L. Harris Partners uses to understand the unmet and emerging needs of clients, identify "perception gaps" among their key stakeholders, and develop results-oriented action plans. In addition to surveying several thousand clients of professional services firms and being a frequent speaker on client loyalty and retention, Lee is the coauthor, with Tom Siders, of Wallet Share: Grow Your Practice Without Adding Clients.

He is a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing, the AICPA, and the Illinois Society of CPAs. Lee received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his BA in chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College.
Michael Elliott, CPA
Manager/Principal-in-Transition, Dittrick & Associates, Inc.
Michael Elliott is a graduate of Franklin University, majoring in accounting and business administration. He has been in public practice since 2007 and is currently serving as the manager/principal-in-transition at the firm Dittrick & Associates, Inc.
In his position, Michael serves the needs of a wide variety of clients, including those in manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and professional services. The bulk of the firm’s workload is in the fields of taxation and consulting. In his position, he is also involved with the technological and procedural operations of the firm.

Michael is a member of both the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) as well as the AICPA. He is a 2012 graduate of the AICPA’s Leadership Academy and has been involved in several projects with both the AICPA and the OSCPA. Currently, Michael serves on a planning committee within the OSCPA. He is also involved with a local nonprofit academy as a board member and treasurer.
Jennifer Hamberger

Jennifer Hamberger is chief marketing officer at New York CPA firm Freed Maxick. With over twenty-five years of marketing experience, including eleven years with a large global leader in the over-the-counter pharmaceutical industry, Jennifer is using her extensive global marketing, industry, and leadership experience to guide Freed Maxick's overall marketing and practice growth strategies for its regional, national, and international practice areas.
Executive Director, CEO, Maryland Association of CPAs
Tom is a nationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant. He won the AICPA Special Recognition Award for his contributions to the profession leading the CPA Vision Project in 2003. Tom has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola College, a master’s degree in finance (real estate) from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s equivalent in information systems from the University of Baltimore.
Tom has been named the second most influential leader in the CPA profession in Accounting Today’s 2013 list of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting (his ninth time).

LinkedIn recruited Tom as one of its Top 150 Influencers, and he was named to the Top 25 Influencers in Learning by HR Examiner. Tom also has been named one of the Top 25 Thought Leaders by CPA Practice Advisor.

Tom is passionate about three areas: leadership, learning, and technology.

Tom's recognition and awards reflect his leadership in helping CPAs “shape their future,” through his work as the CEO of the Maryland Association of CPAs and the Business Learning Institute, a center for the development of leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills for CPAs.
Andrew Johnson, CPA
Cofounder, Peisner Johnson & Company, LLP
Andy began his career in state taxation with Arthur Anderson. After four years at Arthur Anderson, he partnered with Jerry Peisner and, in 1992, founded Peisner Johnson & Company, LLP. Peisner Johnson is the largest national CPA firm that’s focused entirely on solving state and local tax issues. Since the firm doesn’t do any federal or general accounting work, the firm doesn’t compete with CPAs, but rather it complements the work CPAs do.
Andy is an experienced professional in state and local tax matters and has consulted hundreds of companies in virtually every industry across the country. He is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of CPAs. Andy graduated with a master’s degree in accounting with an emphasis in taxation from Brigham Young University.

Gregory L. LaFollette, CPA, CITP, CGMA

Greg is one of the most recognized and respected voices on technology within the accounting profession. He has a broad background in the field, having spent time in private practice, as an executive with a top-tier technology vendor, and as an editor of a leading publication keyed to accounting technology. As vice president of Product Strategy, Greg is responsible for CPA2Biz' overall product road map and leads the development of the company's firm-based Cloud solutions.

Vance McCollough

Vance McCollough is a partner and audit and assurance practice group leader at Dallas-based TravisWolff. He has more than twenty-four years of experience in leading and coordinating audits of companies ranging from those with complex international operations to start-up ventures working through initial public offerings. Vance also advises companies with issues related to operations, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, internal controls, revenue recognition, business combinations, and share-based compensation.
Vance has been a leader in building and managing teams, organizing and overseeing projects spanning multiple locations, and effectively communicating with senior management and boards of directors. Prior to joining TravisWolff, Vance spent twenty-two years with a Big Four firm, where he served in the Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, and Dallas offices. Since originally joining HD Vest in March of 1997, Chad has held various positions within the company, including recruiter, development planning consultant, regional planning consultant, and insurance specialist. He also has made several hundred client presentations with HD Vest on web conferences and phone conference calls with a program called OnVest.
