Free Webcast to Offer Workflow Strategies, Highlight Technologies

Now that most professional accounting firms recognize the importance of going paperless and are implementing solutions and practices to help them achieve this goal, the next step in the continuing evolution of the efficient accounting and tax practice is finding the workflow strategies that can help them "work smarter," not harder.

Of course, the term workflow can mean different things to different practices, but the end result of optimizing workflow practices is enhanced productivity and efficiency, which directly leads to enhanced profitability. What steps do you need to take? Which approaches work best? What solutions on the market are best geared for your firm?

A free, CPE-qualifying webcast at 2 p.m. EDT on Thursday, May 8, will answer these questions, examining all aspects of the mystery of workflow processes in the modern tax and accounting practice. Register here.

Host Gregory L. LaFollette, CPA.CITP, Executive Editor of The CPA Technology Advisor, will be joined by guest Randy Johnston, VP and partner of K2 Enterprises and Network Management Group, Inc. The two will discuss tax document automation, the emergence of "dashboards," exception alerts, data integration and tracking systems, and attendees will also get a glimpse of how jobs travel digitally through today's high-performing firms.

Attendees of the free LIVE webcast will receive two hours of CPE credit, certified through NASBA. The webcast will also be archived, allowing professionals to view it at a later time, but with no CPE eligibility.

Several additional CPE-qualifying webcasts are coming up in the next few months as well. After the Workflow topic, next up is "Scanning Tax Documents: Best Practices & Lessons Learned from the 2007 Tax Season," slated for May 15, followed by a webcast focused on "Effective Time Management for Small Firms" on May 20. Both free webcasts are at 2 p.m. EDT, and include CPE credits to attendees of the live events.

For more information on free CPE-eligible events from The CPA Technology Advisor, click here. All webcasts are free and remain archived for at least one year.
