BDO International Announces 9.6% Growth in 2001

BDO International, the world’s sixth largest accounting and consulting organization, has announced its worldwide revenues for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2001. Global revenue increased to $2.20 billion (US), a jump of 9.6 percent from last year’s figure of $2.01 billion (US).

Audit/Accounting revenues account for $1.28 billion, or 58% of total revenues. BDO's Tax practice makes up $500 million, or 23% of the total.

According to Cecil Fleming, CEO of BDO International, "These are encouraging figures, particularly in view of the current financial climate. While 2002 will not be an easy year for any accountancy firm, the specific sector that BDO serves will maintain the firm’s growth in the area of corporate finance, and other ancillary services such as litigation, corporate recovery and forensic accounting. As the largest firm in our chosen market, we will continue to be the leading adviser to growing businesses."

The BDO International Network now consists of 589 offices located in 98 countries, with over 22,000 partners and staff.
