Trouble Being Recognized as a Registered Member?
Posted by AccountingWEB US in on 02/08/2001 - 17:20
Occasionally, people who register on the AccountingWEB site encounter problems with being recognized as a registered member. If the word "Visitor" appears at the top left of the screen, that means that you are not recognized as a registered member and that you do not have full access to the site.
What you need to do:
- Make sure that you used the correct username and password to log on to the site. If you do not know your username or password, we can remind you now.
- If you used the correct username and password and are still not being recognized, one of two things should be investigated:
- Check to make sure that your "Cookies" are enabled. To do this, if you are using Internet Explorer, go to the tool bar and click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level and scroll down to ensure that "Enable" is checked at the section called "Allow Cookies that are installed on your computer."
- Check with your system administrator to determine if there is a firewall at your office which would prohibit you from accessing cookie-based sites.
If you are still having trouble with logging in to our site, please contact us at 1-317-876-7525 and we'll try to help determine what's wrong.
