Last month I wrote a blog entry on with SecondMarket which is trying to establish a way for holders of private company stock to trade stocks. SecondMarket is not alone in an attempt to provide liquidity to private company shareholders.
http://www.sharespost.com " target="_blank"> SharesPost is offering an online platform where people can list their private company shares for sale and get bids for the stock using a “Craiglist” type model. Other companies jumping into this same pool are http://www.insideventure.com/ " target="_blank"> InsideVenture – looking to help private companies connect with institutional investors and XChange which provides a networking platform to bring buyers and sellers together.
