Printing a Gross Revenue Report from QuickBooks 2008

My Client is asking for a month by month gross revenue report. Can anyone here help me with this.
Their sales is split up in to different catagories like marketing, cogs, programming that they do etc..which comes from sales. Would printing just a P&L or Balance Sheet do the trick? Thanks for your help in advance.

Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you for the advice. I used it and it work great. Gosh this website is great with some very smart people here to help someone like me trying to learn bookkeeping/accounting. Thanks again. Now on to my next task!

QuickBooks Gross Revenue Report

Tammy, I suggest you visit QuickBooks.com and peruse their blogs for more detailed help.

However, you can modify any report using the "Modify Report" option from the top left of the open report.

Using the "Filters" tab within that dialog box when it opens, you can specify what rows will prints, such as a particular range of accounts, account type, or class.

On the main tab ("Display") in the dialog box, you can change the way columns are displayed, using the drop down box about half way down in the dialog box under the "Columns" section.

If you select "Month" you will get a comparative side by side report for each month, and the filters you chose will be the only rows that appear.
