Senators admit to making tax errors and hiring outside accountants

Most accountants prepare their own tax returns, and doesn't it make sense that the folks in Washington who tell the accountants what should and shouldn't go on the tax returns would do the same?

The National Association of Enrolled Agents is reporting that in the fallout of the tax storm that plagued three (and still counting) of President Obama's Cabinet nominees, the Web site Politico.com issued a survey to the ninety-nine sitting U.S. Senators about their own tax histories. Of the 99 (the Minnesota Senate seat is still undecided), forty-one have yet to respond and thirteen declined to answer referencing their public financial disclosure documents.
