I have been working in human resources for the past 5 years and I will graduate with an MBA-Finance this summer. I want to transition into the accounting profession; what would be the best approach?

Network, network, network! You already have contacts where you work, and throughout your industry (through continuing education, seminars, professional meetings or conferences) so use these contacts to find out who might be hiring finance or accounting professionals. These people can also provide references or referrals to a new employer. Then your resume will start the rest of the process. Make sure it's updated, contains no grammatical errors - like no apostrophes where they don't belong - and is relevant to the job for which you will apply. Don't forget, you may have more than one version of your resume, and don't get lazy about tweaking it to fit the job description you're interviewing for on any given day. Good luck with the job hunt!
