By Rob Nance, Publisher - Between 1950 and 2000, the S&P 500 gained or lost 5 percent or more of its value during a single trading day 27 times. So far in 2008, the stock index has moved up or down 5 percent on 42 different days. The turbulent times encountered in 2008 can pretty much be summarized in this fact. It’s really amazing when you think about it.
Raise your glasses in a toast on New Year’s Eve to a Year 2009 that’s full of growth, prosperity, elevating markets, positive outlooks and upbeat attitudes! Cheers!
