New tool available to edit Excel pivot tables

Excel4U.Net Solutions is offering a way to eliminate one of the frustrations of using Microsoft Excel—the inability to make changes directly in the data area of a pivot table.

Pivot tables sort, count and total the data stored in one table or spreadsheet and create a second table showing the summary. They are often used to extract statistical information from raw data. The pivot table is linked to the source data and the cells of the table can be read, but not changed.

Installing Pivot4U allows users to click on the "add-ins" table of Excel, then select Pivot4U. Click on any cell in the pivot table to change its value. Recalculations are automatic.

Pivot4U requirements are Microsoft Office 2007 and .NET Framework 2.0. Go to excel4u.net to try an evaluation version for 14 days.
