Microsoft offers Office Ultimate 2007 to students at steep discount

Microsoft's The Ultimate Steal promotion is offering eligible students Office Ultimate 2007 software for purchase at $59.95 though the end of April. Students are also offered free access to the software for 25 launches before purchase. The full retail cost for Office Ultimate 2007 is $679.

Students with a valid e-mail address ending in edu who are enrolled in a U.S. educational institution for at least .5 credit hours are eligible for the promotion.

Students can sign up for The Ultimate Steal at www.theultimatesteal.com, which takes the user directly to the point of purchase. More detail on the software, which is not available for the MAC, for example, and on payment and downloads, may be found at the Digital River Web site. The Ultimate Steal promotion is being hosted by Digital River, a Microsoft Partner.
