Are their any good QuickBooks user groups out there?

I feel like I know enough about QB to be dangerous. I use QB Pro 2007. When I print my year end balance sheet my other assets are over stated. The are identified as undeposited funds, but those deposits have cleared the bank account.

I am looking for a uset group that I can access. I am sure I can learn from other QuickBooks users and maybe I can also help someone else with some of my trial & error experiences.

QuickBooks Group

It sounds like you may have duplicated deposit entries. If funds remain in undeposited funds you would have had to receive payments but not made the deposit in QB from those payments. You may enter a deposit directly into your register through a bank reconciliation also that does not tie back to your customers, thereby duplicating an asset.

I find the designation of Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor extremely useful and ads value to my business. CT has a small QB group; your state may as well, usually a group of ProAdvisors. If you want more information please contact me or go to www.quickbooks.com and click support.

Source for QuickBooks help

The QuickBooks website is an excellent source for learning and problem solving. It sounds like when you enter your deposits you have not been picking up payments you have received. Look for the Payments button in the top of the Make Deposits window.
