According to a report in the Baltimore Business Journal, Glass Jacobson, with about 40 professionals, is the 14th largest accounting firm in the Baltimore area. Finkelstein & Geser's two principals and two other employees will join Glass Jacobson.
"This acquisition accomplishes exactly what business mergers should -- it strengthens both parties and provides increased benefits to each one's clients," said Glass Jacobson president Edward Jacobson in a news release.
Finkelstein and Geser, founded in 1997, focuses on serving medium-sized businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Its areas of expertise include compilation and review services, tax planning and preparation, financial planning and alternative financing arrangements.
