Microsoft brings MAC Excel users up to speed

Microsoft's monthly security patch for July featured a fix to some key elements of its spreadsheet program Excel. The patch, however, failed to address the issue for MAC computers.

Microsoft has now revised its security bulletin MS07-036 to include a MAC fix as well.

The three vulnerabilities in Excel on the Mac as well as on other Excel editions detailed by MS07-036 were all graded "important" in Microsoft's four-level threat-scoring system, one level below the topmost "critical." For users of Microsoft Office 2000, the security update is graded critical.

According to Microsoft, the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Excel file. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.

Microsoft brings MAC Excel users up to speed
Sir. I had a go at the office 2007 word. It is good. I mean the 2003 is better when you have to remember the old tricks with the ribbon at the top and open this. But the MAC and Excel is different not because of the office 2007. It is Steve jobs work. Try the same excel on PC you will be dragging the cells and looking at the ribbon what to do nest. Apple will be apple Excel with apple is golden apple. Thank you.
You have hit hard on the point.
