The ACE is awarded annually by the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA) and CPA Practice Management Forum to a professional responsible for the management of an accounting practice. Former winners of the award have held titles such as firm administrator, director of administration, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, administrative partner, and chief executive officer.
Regardless of the title, nominees must hold a senior-level administration position for a public accounting firm. Criteria for selection focuses on leadership and the individual's strategic impact on the firm's profit and growth. Strong candidates for the ACE Award will have made major contributions to their firms by implementing and overseeing programs that:
Recipients receive a one-year complimentary AAA membership, free attendance at the next year’s AAA National Practice Management Conference, a handsome plaque provided by CPA Practice Management Forum, and a one year subscription to one of CCH's accounting newsletters.
The ACE Award will be presented at AAA's National Practice Management Conference, June 20-22, 2007 in Providence, Rhode Island.
