“Each of these firms have excellent reputations and provide high-quality services to a breadth of clients and industries,” Peter Appleton Jones, founder and president of TIAG, said in a statement announcing the new members. “They will make a valuable addition to the network.” "We are excited to join The International Accounting Group (TIAG). With the world getting smaller, our clients need us to provide help and information not just in Southern California, but across the entire United States and throughout the world," Kendall Merkley of Corbin & Company told AccountingWEB. "We anticipate being able to use the resources of our fellow TIAG members, as well as TAGLaw members, frequently to help us and our clients. "What makes us most excited is that the networks contain like-minded regional accounting and law firms and individuals who provide quick, proactive and technically sound advice and quality service to clients at cost-effective rates," he adds. "We are frequently asked in sales opportunities about our ability to service client needs outside of Southern California. With our membership in TIAG and the quality we see in our fellow members, we are confident that we can expand our client base in Southern California to include more enterprises with ventures in other states and countries or those with aspirations to establish such ventures." TIAG’s expansion efforts are currently focused on the U.S., where discussions are underway with more than a dozen firms. The TIAG network also welcomes inquiries from cities across the country. “Our alliance with TIAG has given our firm the additional capacity to serve our clients on a regional, national and worldwide basis,” explains Steven Parkhill, president of TIAG member Easley, Endres, Parkhill & BrackenDorff, P.C. in Houston, Texas. “We look forward to building relationships with these newest members of the network.” Including the two American firms, TIAG has added more than 10 new members this year. The network’s total membership exceeds 70 firms worldwide.
