Thirty-eight percent of Americans plan to travel over the long Labor Day weekend, according to a recent survey from TripAdvisor™, the largest travel community in the world. Among those who will be traveling, 62 percent plan to drive, compared to only 34 percent who plan to fly. Rising fuel costs are a concern for 29 percent of travelers and affecting their travel plans. More than half (52 percent) of those traveling intend to stay at a hotel or bed and breakfast, while 24 percent will be staying with family and friends.
