“I wrote a poem and submitted it because I didn’t have the courage to deliver it on stage,” Yeterian told AccountingWEB. “The next thing I knew, I got an e-mail saying I had won.”

“It is April 15th and you know what that means
Empty all the money from the pockets of your jeans.
You must be forced to pay the IRS
You can be sure the post office will be quite a mess.
So, you may get an accountant, but that's not so cheap
Because you will decrease the amount of money you can keep.

Just find a post office and GO!
It doesn't matter now that I have less money
I hope to win this contest because I am funny.”

Yeterian, a marketing student, was inspired by her roommate, who is studying accounting and helped prepare tax returns at a local firm. Hopefully, she intends to take her muse along when she uses her reward gift certificate after finals are over.
