Celebrate...It’s Time, 25+ Years of Women in Accounting, which is being held at the Harvard Club, will begin with high tea at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Program from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. and concluding with a cocktail reception ending at 7:00 p.m. Opening remarks will be made by Conference Chair Mary Moran, author of the View from the State column in AccountingWEB’s Weekly News You Can Use from October 20, and comedian Christine Hurley. Leslie Murphy, incoming chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Partner at Plante & Moran will deliver the Keynote Address. Ivana Ma, controversial contestant from NBC’s hit show “The Apprentice”, Wendy Wadsworth, former buyer for Filene’s and a panel discussion will round out the evening.

The event was created by Mary Moran, CPA and past MSCPA board member, who recalls a time when she couldn’t go to lunch with the audit team and the client because women were not allowed in certain clubs. She is passionate about the strides women have made over the years and wants to celebrate with women CPAs of all ages.
