Diane Williams - Sales Manager
Making the leap into interactive sales with AccountingWEB in 2006 was a natural step for Diane who has a background in both print and radio. As advertising and marketing initiatives continue to expand to include site-based and subscriber-based marketing programs, Diane sees great opportunity for everything from branding and awareness to sales lead generation. "It's refreshing to provide successful campaigns with measurable results," says Diane.

Tony Pavich - Technology Manager
Indiana is the place to be! After working in San Diego for several years, a hearty field of soybeans has never been more comforting. Tony has been programming computers since the Apple II days of the 1980s, and has never lost his passion for it. A Purdue University computer science major, he's worked in several computer-related fields over the years until finally joining our team in 2005.

Kathy Costa - Account Executive
When Kathy began her sales career (way back in the 20th century), advertising was considered an "intangible" sale. But the Web puts advertisers directly in touch with their customers. What could be more tangible than that? No child grows up saying "I want to be a salesperson," and how many times do salespeople hear "oh, I could never do that!" when they confess their profession. Good salespeople are not glib, glad-handing egoists. Good salespeople are not thinking about themselves at all. They are thinking about their customers. "Any success I have in selling" Kathy says, "will be directly tied to how much success my customers have in reaching their customers. And the Web is tangible. You can count those clicks!"

Bill Grabarek – Assistant Managing Editor
Bill brings more than a decade of print and online journalism experience to AccountingWEB. Soon after beginning his career at a daily newspaper, Bill made the jump to trade publications where he has been providing readers with daily news and in-depth feature stories. He is the recipient of state and national awards for journalism excellence. A nearly lifelong resident of the Chicago suburbs, Bill recently moved to Michigan with his lovely wife, plucky dog, and two silly cats.

Rick Hayes - Assistant Technology Manager
Another 'career jumper', Rick spent the better part of 25 years in the residential and commercial building marketplace, owning his own company for most of that time. Having become interested in computers towards the end of the 1980s, he quickly became hooked on his new interest. The career change was born after double shoulder surgery in 2001 when, during his post-op recuperation, Rick began pursuing his online endeavors full-time, including web design/development and e-commerce. The shoulders are just fine now, and the design/build frame of mind still reigns, only now it's digital and the hammer is for weekend projects.

Teresa Ambord - Freelance Writer
I'm one of those people who started down one career path, only to make a major change later in life. With a degree in accounting and years of practice, I discovered that what I like best is to research and write about business and other financial topics. So except for a few clients who still seem to believe they can't live without me, I pretty much traded my ten-key for Microsoft Word. Thanks to AccountingWEB, I can use my background in accounting and my research skills to put information together that I hope is interesting and helpful. My posse of small dogs/advisors thinks I made the right decision, especially when I multi-task, typing with one hand and scratching canine ears with the other.

Robin Burnham - Staff Writer
Robin grew up with the dream to become a modern-day Nellie Bly, donning disguises to uncover fraud and scandal. Her real-life career may have involved journalism, but that's where the similarities end. For more than 10 years, Robin covered local government as a newspaper reporter in New England and Washington state, where she ended her newspaper career as an editor. After becoming a mom, she began freelancing and now works from her basement, deep undercover in her sweats, keeping AccountingWEB readers informed of the latest developments in this constantly-changing industry.

Marci Grossman - Staff Writer
I am one of those people who can't help noticing the butterflies on the path and randomly following after them. As a second generation CPA, my relationship with numbers began at birth. Writing and poetry have always been an outlet for the other side of my brain. Working at AccountingWEB is perfect, since it allows me to use all the mushiest parts of the grey matter in addition to accessing my inner (and outer) techno geek, discovered at my first introduction to computers.

Anne Rosivach - Staff Writer
Anne has returned to freelance writing after spending 20 years in administration in one of the big four firms, where she worked as a recruiter and tax administrator. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she has lived in New York City and currently resides in Stamford, Connecticut. Writing for AccountingWEB is exciting and fun, Anne says, because accounting has been and will likely continue to be at the center of major developments in business news. And since AccountingWEB covers the profession and the tremendously varied and diverse business of accounting, as well as the interests of students and others, staff writers are challenged to pull together articles that will be of interest to this audience.

Terah Shelton - Staff Writer
Who am I? I'm a freelance writer based in Alabama. My work has appeared in Women's Health, Hallmark, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Women’s Adventure, Natural Solutions, and many more. I'm a traveler. I’ve watched the sunrise at the beginning of America, trekked through the jungles in the Bokeo Nature Reserve in Laos, studied the Soufriere Hills Volcano on Montserrat, and more. I find "home" on the road, anywhere the New York Yankees are, and outside the borders and boundaries of familiarity. I can be a bit nostalgic. I still lick the spoon and think baseball is America's pastime. I'll spend my last dollar on a book and airline ticket anywhere, which means, at this moment, I'm probably broke, but, happy.

Jim Rock - Staff Writer
I have always been a generalist and my forty-year career has been multifaceted, while always concentrating on the printed word. I have been both an open shop and online bookseller as well as a general small press publisher, continuously since the early 1970s. Along the way I had three books published on software database design and implementation, spent ten years as a free lance system designer and senior programmer for various federal, state, local, and private clients, including writing and maintaining a 50,000 line program to keep track of 3000+ telemarketing and door-to-door sales people, their commissions, and their sales and income reporting. I have been a free lance and staff wirter or editor for daily newspapers from the Shortridge High School Daily Echo, The Fort Harrison Post, and the U, of Chicago Maroon to The Indianapolis News, The Chicago Tribune, and The Far Eastern Economic Review. It has all been a great deal of fascinating and exciting work and being on the AccountingWEB team is no exception! I often take my own pictures for stories.
