On the heels of MONEY's recent "Best Places to Live" survey, Dun & Bradstreet has released its annual survey focused on the best metropolitan cities for entrepreneurs.

And the winner? West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, Fla. was first on the list as the best location for small businesses. Salt Lake City, Utah and Raleigh-Durham, NC came in second and third, respectively. Survey results are available online or in the October issue of Entrepreneur magazine.

Entrepreneur magazine said that innovation, the availability of disposable income and a diversified economy gave West Palm Beach-Boca Raton its number one ranking.

The magazine based its evaluations of metropolitan areas on four criteria that included entrepreneurial activity, small business employment trends, economic growth and business failure rates.
