Vrakas/Blum accountants obtain CPA designation
The local public accounting and advisory firm of Vrakas/Blum, S.C. is pleased to announce that Krista D. Hau and Yingxin ("Linda") Liu have earned their certified public accountant licenses in the state of Wisconsin.
Hau joined Vrakas/Blum in 2009. She currently serves as a staff accountant in the firm's tax department, providing tax compliance services for closely-held businesses and their owners. Hau began her career at Deloitte Tax LLP, where she worked for one year.
Hau earned a Masters of Accountancy degree in 2008 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University in 2007. Hau's professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). She is a resident of Mequon, Wisconsin.
Liu also has been with Vrakas/Blum since 2009 and is a staff accountant in the tax department. She focuses her practice on providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to corporations, partnerships and individuals. Liu previously served as a tax consultant at Deloitte Tax LLP.
Liu is a graduate of Carroll University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She is a member of the AICPA and WICPA. Liu currently resides in Sussex, Wisconsin.

Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
