Transition Advisors LLC, an international consulting organization, recently announced that Bill Carlino, veteran journalist and editor-in-chief of Accounting Today, will assume the position of Managing Director - National Consulting Services, effective March 19, 2012.

Carlino has spent twelve years at Accounting Today as the editor-in-chief as well as editorial director for all accounting-related publications, such as the Accounting Today Special Reports series and the group's online portal, AccountingToday.com. He has been a frequent speaker and panel moderator at industry-related meetings and events, as well as a featured commentator on such notable cable business channels as CNBC, Reuters, MSNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, and National Public Radio.

In his new role, Carlino will use his experience within the accounting profession to assist Transition Advisors' clients with all forms of practice management consulting, with an emphasis on strategic planning, succession planning, industry trends, and growth strategies. He will be instrumental in creating for Transition Advisors a broader range of consulting services for CPA firms nationally, in addition to its traditional services involving ownership transition issues, including M&A transactions.

Bill brings a great deal of insight into trends and the changing environment of the accounting profession. His work with hundreds of firms as consultant, futurist, and retreat facilitator, offers our clients a valuable resource, allowing them to make informed decisions that will take their firm to the next level."

"I'm thrilled to be part of this new chapter in the ongoing evolution of Transition Advisors," said Carlino. "Joel [Sinkin] and Terry have forged a solid and much-admired reputation with the company, and it's an honor to be part of a great team of professionals that will vault us into the next phase of industry leadership."

Sinkin added, "I have personally known Bill for ten years, and adding him to our dedicated team of professionals is a very exciting thing for me, both personally and professionally. Bill brings a great deal of knowledge and experience, instrumental to the consulting services Transition Advisors is offering."

In keeping with its recent rebranding efforts, Transition Advisors has created and launched a new website.
