Promotions at Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith CPA firm

Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith is pleased to announce recent promotions within their accounting firm.  Promoted to Manager were Carrie Sayers and Kim Tarnakow. Carrie Sayers, CPA, received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Central Florida and her MBA from Auburn University.  Carrie has 7 years experience working in corporate and individual taxation.  Kim Tarnakow, CPA, received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University and her Master’s in Accounting from Miami University of Ohio.  Kim has over 20 years experience in taxation.

Promoted to Supervisor was Holly DuBois, CPA.  Holly DuBois graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Accounting.  Holly has over 4 years of experience conducting audit and accounting services for not-for-profit clients. 
 
Additionally, promoted to Senior Accountant were Ashley Fulgham, Jessica Hale, CPA and Paige Smith, CPA.

Even though any accounting auditor would tell you it seems like there are an awful lot of tax accountants out there, surely one-third of the country isn't made up of tax preparers, so it's rather startling news to learn that one-third of Americans like to do their taxes. Who knew?
