Moore Colson tax manager wins firm award
Atlanta-based Moore Colson CPAs recently honored tax manager Alicyn McLeod with its quarterly Peak Award, which is given to an individual who makes a significant contribution to the firm or goes above and beyond expectations.
Managing Partner Robert R. Kiser has heard several clients praise McLeod's work on various projects. Comments included, "how much they enjoy working with her," "very professional," "very responsive," and "always helpful and thoughtful." Another client commented on what a nice person McLeod is, and that she is a "keeper."
"Alicyn McLeod is a very bright, well-educated, and hard working employee, like everyone at Moore Colson," Kiser said.
McLeod was named a manager of the tax services practice in July 2008. Previously, she was tax senior/supervisor at Bennett Thrasher, PC, of Atlanta. She focused on individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and planning. She is a graduate of Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia, and has a MBA. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
"My favorite aspect of public accounting is interacting with clients – educating, advising, advocating, and getting to know them and their businesses," McLeod said.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
