Lewis & Knopf CPAs Gibbons and Kapoor receive promotions

Lewis & Knopf CPAs, P.C. recently announced the promotions of Joel Gibbons and Akshay Kapoor, CPA.

Gibbons, formerly a junior accountant, joined Lewis & Knopf in 2007. In his role as senior accountant, he specializes in audit services for auto dealerships, and school districts. In addition, Gibbons offers tax preparation services to construction and manufacturing companies and auto dealerships.

Gibbons received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting from Ferris State University in 2006. He belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Gibbons currently resides in Fenton, Michigan.

Kapoor joined Lewis & Knopf in 2004. Previously a senior accountant, he now serves as a manager providing audit, accounting, and tax preparation services to the firm's clients. Kapoor works with a diverse client base including corporations, not-for-profits, and local government.

Kapoor graduated from Walsh University with a Master of Science in taxation in 2009 and a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in 2002. In addition, he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2000 from Arya College. Kapoor is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and Walsh College Alumni Association. He currently resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his wife.

Lewis & Knopf, CPAs, P.C. is a regional mid-market accounting and consulting firm based in Flint, Michigan. The firm maintains specialties in the construction, manufacturing and distribution, professional service firms, auto dealerships, retail operations, and not-for-profit sectors. Lewis & Knopf currently employs 45 professionals in the Flint area.
