Copanion announces integration with tax software vendors

Copanion, Inc., a provider of paperless tax workflow technology, recently announced that its premier paperless tax workflow application, GruntWorx Populate, now integrates with CCH's ProSystem fx Tax and Thomson Reuter's UltraTax CS.

GruntWorx Populate identifies, organizes, and labels scanned tax forms into a single bookmarked PDF file and then extracts relevant tax data to automatically populate individual tax returns. Integration between systems supports a paperless tax workflow and further enhances the advanced functionality of both ProSystem fx Tax and UltraTax CS by eliminating manual sorting and entering of client tax data.

"Our goal is to consistently identify ways to make the accountant's job easier. By further automating the tax preparation process via integration with leading tax systems, we are accomplishing this goal," said Ed Jennings, Copanion CEO. "Automatic population of data within returns will save firms hours, even days, during the busy tax season."

Copanion is dedicated to eliminating key pain points in the profession, and time-consuming manual data entry represents one of the biggest issues for firms, according to the company. GruntWorx Populate was developed to eliminate data entry and significantly increase productivity.

"GruntWorx Populate eliminates keying of client data and provides the highest level of accuracy across the widest breadth of forms available, while ProSystem fx Tax and UltraTax CS represent leading tax preparation software. Combined, these advanced applications offer comprehensive solutions to completely automate tax preparation with ease and maximum efficiency, while also ensuring accuracy of data," said Jennings.

GruntWorx Populate now offers integration with three of the profession's leading tax preparation applications including - ProSystem fx Tax, UltraTax CS, and GoSystem Tax RS. The GruntWorx platform also integrates with other popular applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat, to further increase workflow efficiency.
