Cherry, Bekaert & Holland's Duda selected for Wake Education Partnership board

Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P., (CB&H) has announced that Scott Duda, audit partner at the firm, has been named to the Wake Education Partnership board of directors.

Wake Education Partnership brings together resources and builds relationships within the community to promote excellence in Wake County public schools. As a member of the board of directors, Duda will be responsible for developing the policies that guide daily operations of the organization.

Our mission is to help the Wake County Public School System retain teachers, develop leadership, and make sure teachers and school leaders have the tools they need to teach our children. I am honored to be involved with an organization which ensures that our children will receive the best education possible through a collaborative process."

Duda is a certified public accountant with more than 15 years of accounting experience. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in accounting, and he has served as the lead auditor on some of CB&H's largest commercial and governmental clients.

He serves on the Wake Education Partnership's Programs Committee and is working on the organization's World Class School Initiative, which outlines how Wake County must educate children in order to make them globally competitive as adults.

Duda is on the board of directors for the Research Triangle chapter of The National Funding Association, a networking organization for financial professionals whose members provide funding and services.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
