AccountingWEB announces new Managing Editor - July 2007

July 23, 2007 - Westerville, OH - AccountingWEB, the online news and resource Web site for accountants, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gail Perry, CPA, to the position of Managing Editor. In her new position, Perry will be responsible for overseeing the daily news content on the site and adding to the resource content library, as well as providing editorial commentary.

Perry is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, a former newspaper columnist for the Indianapolis Star, and the author of more than 20 books, including "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Doing Your Income Taxes," "TurboTax for Dummies," "Excel 2000 Answers!," "QuickBooks 2007 On Demand," and "Surviving Financial Downsizing: A Practical Guide to Living Well on Less Income."

Most recently Perry has been a contributing editor for Accounting Today and SMB Finance magazines, and she teaches an online personal finance course. She is a former senior tax accountant for the Chicago office of Deloitte and the Indianapolis offices of Blue & Co. and Geo. S. Olive & Co. (now BKD). In addition, she was a computer applications instructor for 10 years at the Indiana CPA Society.
