AccountingWEB Announces 2010 AccountingWEB Accounting Student Scholarship Winners

Columbus, OH (September, 2010) - AccountingWEB, the leading online media company for accountants, is pleased to announce that three winners have been chosen as the 2010 AccountingWEB Accounting Student Scholarship winners.

Entrants were required to write a 500-word essay on the topic of "The Role of Accountants in Social Media." Essays were judged in a variety of areas including creativity, innovation, quality of writing, structure, logic, and sources/research. All three essays have been posted on AccountingWEB.com.
 
This year's winners are:

  • Christi Hillegass of Atlanta, Georgia, a junior attending the University of Georgia working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Jenna El-Khalili, of West Lafayette, Indiana, is a sophomore attending Purdue University working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Ross A. Drapalski of Coppell, Texas, attending the University of North Texas

Each winner has been awarded a $500 scholarship to assist with education costs.
