CompuPay, Inc., recently has announced the acquisition of Priority Payroll, a Henderson, Nevada-based payroll services company founded in 2003. Located just outside of Las Vegas, Priority Payroll offers payroll, time-keeping, and human resource services to medium-sized businesses across the country.
"This transaction is reflective of our overall growth strategy and enables us to add a new and vibrant market to our organization," said Charlie Lathrop, chairman, president, and CEO of CompuPay, a Miramar, FL-based payroll services company. "Moreover, Priority Payroll's commitment to service excellence is closely aligned with CompuPay and our vision of being the best, one payroll at a time."
Kirsten Arredondo, president of Priority Payroll, added that "CompuPay is a good cultural fit for our organization and for our clients."
CompuPay will continue to operate the Henderson office and will retain many of its operations personnel. Priority Payroll clients will continue to work with the same payroll specialists with whom they are familiar and will continue to utilize the same payroll platform. In addition, they will have access to CompuPay's much broader selection of payroll products and related services including 401(k) retirement plans, workers compensation insurance, COBRA administration services, and Section 125 plans.
"Similar to CompuPay, Priority Payroll has a very strong network of business partners," said Kathey Palmer, senior vice president of business development for CompuPay. "We look forward to building relationships with those partners and welcoming them into the CompuPay channel partner program."
CompuPay announces alliance
CompuPay also announced that it has aligned itself as the preferred payroll provider for Strategic Business Services (SBS).
Located in central Ohio, SBS is a full-service benefits resource for the business community specializing in employee benefits brokerage, payroll services, and human resource/administrative service offering turnkey solutions for its clients.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, the focus of SBS remains to deliver consistent, responsive, and highly personalized service while offering a more consolidated approach to the needs of Ohio businesses. SBS payroll's relationship with CompuPay brings new options and offerings to their clients, according to the company.
"Strategic Business Services is the first agency in central Ohio to offer our clients payroll solutions that integrate the benefit administration and management process," said Tom Paplaczyk, principal at Strategic Business Services. "This new partnership with CompuPay will expand our offerings to our clients and make Strategic Business Services the leader in independently owned benefits and payroll services in Central Ohio."
CompuPay's ability to handle mid- to large-size clients with more complex payroll needs will perfectly augment SBS' service offering, according to CompuPay's Palmer. "SBS clients will now have access to the added benefits of working with CompuPay, while still being able to depend on their existing relationship with Strategic Business Solutions."
