This is just a reminder that most people judge you within the first 3 to 10 seconds of meeting you. This is true for you as an individual as well as for the impression you make when you represent your firm. Most of the decisions made in those brief seconds are based on appearance (55%); the rest includes the tone of your voice (38%), while only 7% of the impression comes from your actual words. You could be saying "blah blah blah" - and at least for 10 seconds it wouldn't matter as your appearance and body language draw the most attention!
From a marketing perspective, consider what your are doing when you have the opportunity to make a great impression on a client or a prospect. What can you do in those first 10 seconds that will help form a positive image of you and your firm?
