SEC Complexity Comm. To Vote on Report as Congress Gets Into the Act; Treasury ACAP Update

By Edith Orenstein, FEI Financial Reporting Blog - The SEC Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting (CIFiR or the Pozen Committee for Chair Robert Pozen) is slated to vote at its July 11 meeting on the recommendations contained in its Draft Final Report, posted on SEC’s website yesterday. Today's Wall Street Journal is also reporting that the Securities Act of 2008 will include a provision on complexity. In other news, the comment deadline looms on the U.S. Treasury Department's Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession (ACAP) Draft Report and Addendum.
