Is Employee Loyalty Directly Tied to Benefits Offered by Employer?

Results of a new survey show that most employees (61%) who receive a satisfactory benefits package from their employers are likely to have a strong sense of loyalty to those employers. Does that mean that providing good benefits is a good way to ensure employee loyalty (certainly a concern in an iffy job market), or is there a deeper meaning?

Benefits notwithstanding, for most people, the type of employer who is fair, honest, and caring about the employees sets the tone for a company where employees look forward to doing their jobs and doing them well.
