Anyone that regularly reads my blog knows my passion for family business and that I am slowly (emphasis on slowly) writing a book on the subject with my former college roommate (Dr. David Hagenbuch). Well, now is your chance to hear us both speak on the subject.
We will be leading a discussion about family business on April 20th in Lancaster as part of the Messiah College Business Alumni Association. Please note, you do NOT need to be an alum to attend.
Dr. David Hagenbuch grew up in a family business and worked for several years in another family company before returning to become a partner in his family’s specialty advertising firm. He possess a plethora of insight and experience with family business and is currently a full time professor at Messiah College (and soon to be Chair of the Business Department). He has much to offer and hearing him speak will be time well spent.
We plan to discuss topics such as:
· Preventing a culture of entitlement.
· Succession planning.
We also hope to answer the question, “Are you a family business or a business family?”
The event is a breakfast meeting at the Eden Resort. Additional details can be found at this website.
