Today Gordon Brown went to see Her Majesty the Queen and asked if he could dissolved parliament. Quaint don't you think. There is now a race to get legislation passed in the next couple of days.

Election day is May 6th put a note in your diary. Short election by American standards.

There is a real prospect of a "hung parliament" where no party has out right power, and another election in October.
