Bernanke Reappointed Chairman Of FRB; Kroeker Appointed Chief Accountant of SEC

Two big appointments announced earlier today: President Barack Obama announced this morning that he is nominating Ben Bernanke to serve a second term as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. The reappointment is subject to confirmation by the full Senate. Separately, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary L. Schapiro announced earlier today that Acting Chief Accountant Jim Kroeker has been named Chief Accountant of the SEC.
