By now, many of you in the profession have heard
that I am leaving the company on September 30. The
AccountingWEB that you know and love will still be there
every day for you! Our growing audience, happy
advertisers and all business partners will continue to enjoy
all that AccountingWEB offers. I’m sure it will all become
bigger and better than ever!
So why am I leaving? With the company doing better than ever, synergies between the US and the UK divisions will provide opportunities for a better product. With growth, comes change.
It’s been a fantastic run of nearly seven years for me at Sift Media. I don’t know what the next chapter holds for me, but when one door closes, another one opens. Best wishes to all of you.

Rob, what a treat it's been to work with you! Fun and professionalism all at the same time. As a member of Blogger's Crew, the support and encouragement I received was second to none. And I've never met anyone more organized and skilled at follow-up than you. I hope we'll be able to work together when the next very lucky company gets to have you on their team. Please do stay in touch!

Frankly, I can't imagine AccountingWEB separate from its heart and soul, Rob Nance. I can obtain content from many sources; only the Nance-lead AW provided this content in a fashion I consistently valued. Rob - best wishes for continued professional success. The only question that remains - which employer will "win the lottery" and land you as their next executive?

As a monthly columnist for Accounting Web, reader and fan, I have been so impressed not only with the acquisitions and innovations you have made, but also very much how you treat and recognize the staff at Sift.
I am eager to see where your next adventure takes you. You will be missed!

Rob - you will be missed! I remember the first time we met. It was 2006 at the Ohio CPA show and the local brass band was playing in the middle of the tradeshow. You explained it by saying "we are friendly people here in Ohio". Well, many years later I still smile at that memory, you were so right about people from Ohio being friendly, and I wear my AccountingWeb hat proudly whenever I can. Stay in touch, OK? And THANKS for all these great years of information and friendship!

I was searching for a concise definition of the word "professional" this morning. I opened my dictionary and your photo was next to the first definition listed.

Does this mean that deviled eggs will no longer be offered in the company cafeteria?
